Description: Here's a Nice Vintage ASTRAGON 8 1/4 inch f/4.5 View Camera Lens mounted on a 4 3/8 x 4 3/8 inch (homemade) wood board--- I think it could be be used for Early Graflex cameras or other Large Format View cameras. I've seen references for it linked to Yamasaki Optical--- and it's marked made in Japan. I think it's from the 1930's or thereabouts--- not too sure about much of that, but I expect you will know---- I'm no expert. It's in used but Super Nice Cosmetic Condition--- with Excellent Glass and Operational Condition. The exterior finish has pretty much No Wear to speak of--- No dents, No dings, or significant scratches--- barely any paint wear--- It's a Beauty! The glass is almost perfect---- Clean and Clear with No Fungus, Glue Separation or Haze to make a fuss over, with a just a few very minor dust specs. The aperture is working perfectly, BUT there is some oil on the blades, but the operation is smooth--- makes a perfect circle. Really Great Condition considering it's about 100 years old!
