Description: Included is 1/2 cup of fresh worm castings from my home worm farm right outside of Buffalo, NY. The last picture shows some of the worms where the castings are separated from. Follow the directions below to use the worm castings included to make up 5-10 gallons of worm tea to feed your plants. Your plants will love this worm tea and will grow bigger and stronger. Materials Needed: 5-gallon bucket or container Non-chlorinated water (leave tap water out for 24 hours) Molasses (optional, for microbial growth) Fill the Container: Fill a 5-gallon bucket or container with non-chlorinated water. Using tap water that has been left to sit overnight allows chlorine to evaporate. Add the Worm Castings: Submerge the muslin bag with worm castings into the water. Optional: Add Molasses: If desired, add a tablespoon of molasses to the water. Molasses serves as a food source for beneficial microorganisms. Brewing Period: Allow the tea to brew for 24-48 hours. Keep the container covered to prevent contamination. Strain and Apply: After brewing, remove the muslin bag with worm castings. The castings in the bag can be used at the base of plants. Application: Use the worm tea on your plants as a natural, nutrient-rich fertilizer. Storage: Use the worm tea promptly for the best results.
