This appears to have hardly ever been played and the textured cover is a lovely example. The audio is easily the best I've heard and I have no hesitation to play-grade the whole album as a VERY SAFE Near Mint (NM). This has the following information etched in the run-outs: FACT-10 - OUTSIDE 1 THIS IS THE WAY A PORKY PRIME CUTFACT 10 - INSIDE 1 A PORKY PRIME CUT STEP Description Disc: The lightweight (92 gram) vinyl has retained its original sheen with very few marks and looks like it was very rarely played. The playing surfaces show just some very fine hairlines and sleeve-removal marks, but there is absolutely nothing significant anywhere. I have played the whole album in full from start to finish and it sounds amazing with nothing to report. There are no repetitive clicks anywhere and the run-ins/outs, fades, silent grooves and intros all play really quietly. This is easily the best I've heard. For the sake of completeness I would mention that there were a handful of places where you get one or two quiet random clicks, but there is absolutely nothing intrusive anywhere and certainly no loud persistent clicks. I think that most sellers would probably say that this plays Mint: it's certainly very, very close. However, it has been played a handful of times so I would have no hesitation to play-grade it as a VERY SAFE Near Mint (NM). This was an absolute pleasure to listen to and I think it would be very unlikely that you could find an early pressing that plays better than this. Labels: No tears, stickers, writing etc and minimal spindle marking suggesting that the record was very rarely played: judging by the (lack of) spindle marking I would estimate this was played less than half-a-dozen times. Sleeve: The textured Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve is a lovely example. It has no splits, tears or issues, just some minor signs of wear on the spine and wear to the corners, but there is nothing significant anywhere (see photos). Inner sleeve: The inner sleeve has no splits or tears and no significant issues, just some minor signs of use.All photographs are of the actual item for sale. Please ask any questions before you bid or buy. Other information not covered above: Because of the lightweight vinyl used for this pressing they are usually not perfectly flat, and when the record was playing I could see that it is not. This is very minor and was only noticeable when the disc was spinning, and I think that most sellers would probably not even mention it. It has absolutely no impact on the record's performance or sound, which is easily the best I've heard. Where gradings are given these are based on the UK Record Collector grading system (see below) and are visual gradings only, unless the listing specifically states that it is a play-grading. I use the UK RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM. This grading system differs from some other grading systems, in particular the Goldmine grading system. Please make sure that you are familiar with the UK record collector grading system before you bid. Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler. Plus (+) or Minus (-) are added where items fall between gradings. I only ever use one plus or minus. P&P costs as follows: UK: First LP or 12" record = £4.95, each additional item no extra P&P charge. First 7" record = £3.95, each additional item no extra P&P charge. Europe: First LP or 12" record = £14.95, each additional item = an extra £2.20 P&P charge. First 7" record = £11.95, each additional item = an extra £1.00 P&P charge. Rest of the world: First LP or 12" record = £24.95, each additional item = an extra £2.20 P&P charge. First 7" record = £14.95, each additional item = an extra £1.00 P&P charge.
