This variety is a native of Peru/South America. Lemon drop peppers are 2 to 2.5 inches long, bright yellow colored, thin-walled. Plants grow about two feet tall and bush out laterally. Plants can easily produce 100+ peppers in late summer. Once peppers start ripening in Aug/Sept/Oct, there are 3-4 peppers ripening every day. Perfect for salsas, Chili or anything spicy. 100 days to harvest, so start them early. Heat level is around 30,000-50,000 SHU, slightly hotter than a jalapeno.
