You might spot remnants of this exact make and model in its smaller 20" size, but mostly what's left on the internet are a few pictures—seriously. This 22" size and model is seemingly non-existent! I'm not fully sure why this particular model is so rare, but when you hear it and play it, you'll understand why. Everyone who has ever owned it must have kept it for themselves!With its unique hand-hammered, vintage 80s warm Sabian sound, this cymbal has an astonishingly dark and low voice when crashed, due to its very low profile. Having aged almost half a century, it has become semi-dry in a delightful way that complements the cymbal's explosive yet controlled low voice. Its stick definition is present and doesn't wash away even when riding hard, which is amazing considering the massive, breathy, and warm undercurrent beneath each stick accent. The bell is some sort of wizardry; it's a smaller cup bell but projects so clearly and pronounced.This cymbal quite literally has it all, and at 2711 crashable grams! It has aged stunningly, becoming semi-dry in a way that complements the cymbal immensely. This is one of the most musical cymbals I have ever come across, perfect for use under your top-line microphones, on the gig as a main crashable ride, or as a left-side ride. This Sabian HH Light ride was made during arguably Sabian HH's best era. There are absolutely no issues with this cymbal.
